Local publishers also have the capacity to be very successful with deals. Take, for example, this deal from the newspaper the OC Register. It sold more than 5,000 trips to Catalina Island off Southern California:
While many if not most of the people who take this trip probably won’t repeat some will. And the additional cost of handling the volume (perhaps some staffing and fuel) will be more than offset by the additional revenue.
The only problem comes if most of these people seek to fulfill during the company’s peak season, potentially displacing higher paying customers. However all these customers won’t redeem at the same time in all likelihood.
The deal is powered by Analog Analytics.
